Pregnancy and postnatal massage is specifically catered to help support women through their pregnancy and in the postnatal period.

Pregnancy is a time of change, growth and transformation.  The body undergoes many changes and massage can help support these changes, allowing the body to adapt and cope throughout pregnancy.

Massage is a great way to reduce stress and promote general well-being during pregnancy.

Massage may help relieve some of the common discomforts during and after pregnancy such as

  • Muscle tension from stress and or anxiety
  • Muscle tightness and tension from altered posture and gait
  • May help assist with relieving discomfort due to oedema or swelling
  • Assist with pain management due to pain and tightness in the lower back, pelvis, hips, ribs, upper back and neck
  • May assist with insomnia due to pain, tension or stress
  • May assist with pain from leg cramps

 

Postnatal Massage

Postnatally the body is also undergoing many changes and healing from giving birth.  Massage can help support these changes, allowing the body to heal and supporting a women in this busy and tiring period.

Massage is a great way to reduce stress, take some time out for yourself and promote general well-being in the postnatal period.

Massage may help relieve some of the common discomforts of the postnatal period such as

  • Muscle tension from stress and or anxiety
  • Muscle tightness and tension from altered posture due to breast feeding and carrying your little one
  • Assist with pain management due to pain and tightness in the lower back, pelvis, hips, ribs, upper back and neck
  • May assist with scar healing
  • Providing some often much needed time out
